In the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup (2019) India has got a big setback. Aggressive inform left-hand opener Shikhar  Dhawan ruled out of the world cup due to thumb fracture. According to the sources, the Indian team dashing opener Shikhar Dhawan has dropped out of the world cup squad and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a press conference on Wednesday to provide information about being Dhawan dropped.

Dhawan has suffered an injury during the match played against Australia on 9th June and after that, He wasn’t fit to play an international match. He hasn’t played against New Zealand nor against Pakistan. It has been told that he will not able to play for 2 to 3 matches but now he wasn’t able to recover from the century and he ruled out of the World Cup.

After his set back India requested the ICC to play Rishabh Pant in place of Dhawan. In this world cup, India has played four matches and won three matches, while one match was canceled against New Zealand due to rain. Now India’s next match is with Afghanistan on June 22.
